We're delighted to announce a new partnership with Parks for London.
"Parks for London has grown to be the leading strategic voice and champion for London's green space sector. Working with and supporting London's landowners and managers to share and develop good practice, improve standards and maximise resources."
Dog waste and litter problems have escalated in parks and green spaces since the start of the pandemic in 2020. Eco Green Communities share the same view on dog waste and litter problems as Parks for London: we need to find sustainable solutions to manage waste and also encourage users of parks and green spaces to dispose of litter and dog mess responsibly. We're working with Parks for London to install eco dog waste and litter stations across London’s parks and green spaces, for one year. This pilot project is open exclusively to Supporters of Parks for London and for every station installed we will plant a tree either in a registered forest or in the borough where the pilot takes place, providing a carbon offset. The pilot will also provide an opportunity to measure the impact of the stations by capturing relevant data during the year.
Supporters interested in taking part in the pilot should contact Nina Obhrai at Parks for London, the stations will be offered on a first come first served basis.
